The boss in the kitchen and her second-in-command were both off, leaving me de facto in command. I have a suspicion that the other people on the team decided to take advantage of my placid and easygoing nature... Unlike the boss and minion, I never yell or get angry and rarely even complain to people when they've not worked to my expectation. I'd rather just get it sorted out than argue. Declining standards all weekend, peaking yesterday with one of the worst kitchens I have ever come into on a day that wasn't strongly busy. It seemed like I had to babysit and pick up after everybody and it sucks hard.

If I missed your girlfriend, I would probably put up with some some pretty heavy shit too just to go home to that m8. Count yourself lucky and maybe just keep counting.
