If you disable rematerialisation subroutines, route the phase inducers through the emitter array, and disable the override, you should then be able to lock a pattern into a continuous diagnostic cycle, sending the matter array through the pattern buffer indefinitely. In theory. I'd say you got a 50 percent chance of the pattern degrading beyond retrieval.

Me thinks you have it mostly korrect

"Transporters have been reconfigured – power is drawn from the auxiliary systems (they were a regenerative power source) while the rematerialization subroutines have been intentionally disabled with the phase inducers being connected to the emitter array and that the pattern buffers have been locked in a diagnostic cycle. Furthermore, a pattern is still in the buffer and, amazingly, it has suffered almost no degradation.

Transporter set in Ejaculating mode, out pops Scotty. Sadly Ensign Matt Franklin fails, sperm and all, too Ejaculate.
