Cinco de Mayonnaise is a big deal around these parts.

Daiquiris, chips and salsa, homemade guacamole and burritos. Just one more reason to

Around my neck of the woods, we look up lists of holidays to celebrate.

Around San Diego proper Cinco de Mayo will truly be a festive day/nite yet I honestly have to admit I have to look up exact reason its a special day in Mexico. For sure its not Mexican Independence day, and probably celebrates some victory against some enemy of past present or future.

To pause and solemnly remember the French soldiers who died bravely at the Battle of Puebla.

Yea I have to admit I remembered it as French someThing or other.

Considering It was them French who invented Mayonnaise...Cinco de Mayo kind o has a nice ring to it.
