Topic: myEssentials -- My very first public Minecraft modpack.

I felt this special occation deserved it's own thread.
Below I have provided a link to a manual installation version which includes a nice Readme and some of my favorite bukkit plugins.
I also included the Technic URL.
Simply copy the URL, click on the "Add Modpack" option in the modpacks list on the left side of the Technic launcher, input this URL where it asks, change any optional settings, and select "Add Modpack".

Going to need some more info about what mods are included

Does anyone know of any alternatives to Dropbox that work with Technic?
Dropbox doesn't have a free public folder anymore and the only way of making one you have to upgrade to Pro.

Mediafire, won't work, they even said it. It has to be a direct download link.
I am hosting the pack on Hugbox and it worked.
Just now it's crashing and I have no idea what mod is doing it.

why wouldnt dropbox work with technic?

Because it has to be a public folder. Their website recommends Dropbox.
But I do not have a public folder and I do not see any option to make one.
I did some Googling and found out that they replaced it with "Shared links..." which only shares a file or dictionary with users you specific and not just anyone.
I also found out that the public folder option is now available for Pro members which costs $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year.

Where did you get the link? I right-clicked the download button and selected copy link and then used that one.
It gave me an error message.

Just so you know, I used a different zip for the Technic pack because it requires the files to be in a different setup.

I am hosting the file on Hugbox and it downloads, but now it crashes.
The manual one works absolutely fine so I am unsure what might be causing this.

You know what, fuck Technic.
My manual installation one works fine, right?

You have to include the configs generated from your manual setup. Also, you need to include the idfixminus.txt if you used that.
Your mediafire link is dead.

I do need to include the idfixminus.txt even if I do not have idfixminus.jar in my mods folder?
And I decided to just host the manual download on The Hugbox.
Bare in mind this is a very small pack since it consists only of the mods I believe should be essential to any modpack.
I might release addon packs though for some essential tech and nature mods though.

Yeah, I deleted, saw no point really. I have severe OCD (not confirmed) when it comes to such things.

I tried putting the idfixminus.jar in the mods folder for the technic version and the txt file in the root.
Still crashes.
