I had never used an Android until just recently.

I liked Opera mini on my iPhone...

My recommendation: Firefox due to add-ons and AdBlock plus. But get them all and test drive them, you can always uninstall the ones you don't like.

Firefox + add ons is a good choice as Meta said. Adfree + Chrome is a good alternative.

XBMC is pretty neat if you set it up right (not a browser).
