Should someone with a gastrointestinal illness be working at a restaurant? You could end up being the Typhoid Mary of Dallas.

He's also bartender at Genghis Grill, but I wouldn't worry cause the alcohol would kill any germs.

I would have stayed in Friendswood (nice town and close to I45 so easy access to all that Houston has to offer) but whatever.

Yeah, its a nice locale. But moved to dallas with gf, maybe a dumb move, but I'm young, and dumb, and full of cum. And I have nothing to lose.

hey buddy, if you ever get stiffed on a tip and find a nickel balanced on it's side in the middle of the table, it wasn't me.

Yelp reviews Genghis Grill Dallas Tx

"Lived out until this Saturday. Had to send my bowl back because it was burnt. By the time my bowl was done so was my family. So they boxed mine, I get home to find that it to was burnt.: ("

"Not impressed by this location. It took ten minutes to be seated in a mostly empty restaurant. It's freezing cold in here. They screwed up 3 of our bowls."

'I'll never come here again. They sat us under a vent for the grill so it was so windy out napkins were flying. After sitting there for 10 before they got our drink order I asking several times to turn the fan down they did nothing. Asked the manager and she was able to move us. Then they completely got out order wrong. With only 4 options for a starch I would think they would get it wrong...apparently not. It wasn't just our table the cook got wrong either. So if you want bad service and the wrong food come on in!'

'This place fails on so many levels it's hard to find anything to like. Two stars because I didn't get sick and ate/drank what I ordered and was correctly billed.

In the context of a Mongolian BBQ this place is miserable. The grill is supposed to be used in a very particular way, with cooks walking around in a circle, moving your food around the circumference while adding water (and only water) until it's cooked. Judging by the age and nationality of other Mongolian cooks I've seen, it seems to be a technique that's difficult to master, and handed down through family lines.

The cook at ghengis grill used the BBQ like a huge, round griddle. He sprayed oil on the grill surface (which was much more carbonized than I'm used to seeing) and cooked the food in place. As a result of their unorthodox cooking style, much of the complexity was forced back onto the customer, with paperwork to fill out and lots of waiting. There were instructional signs at every turn, and two bowls instead of one. Ghengis, pay the money to hire better and more authentic cooks, and you can get rid of a lot of the hassle caused by running a cold grill.

In the context of a ghengis grill visit, this place is pretty bad. Just read the other reviews for details.'

I work in Fort Worth, not Dallas. And it's like $10 meals, that lady who's complaining about it not being true mongolian barbeque can fuck off. There's not a cow in the back at taco bell either, boo hoo.

Yelp reviews for Fort Worth

What you get is an annoying highschool kid waiter, small portions of tasteless food, and a bill that hovers around the $15 territory for lunch. Trust me, Genghis wouldn't eat here (because he'd be on ninths or tenths at Golden Coral) and neither should you.

Today proved to be an inadequate display of customer service. We were greeted by a friendly albite new hostess, that really had no idea where anything was but the bowls. My advice to her, go ask someone. I hate the " I don't know I'm new here" response. Out waiter was not much better. Uggggg

Today proved to be an inadequate display of customer service. We were greeted by a friendly albite new hostess, that really had no idea where anything was but the bowls. My advice to her, go ask someone. I hate the " I don't know I'm new here" response. Out waiter was not much better...he asked the tables to my left and right if everything was ok and if he could get anything else for them. Us...nada! When I finally finished scarfing down my meal, us flight attendants usually eat pretty fast, we were charged the all you can eat instead of the one bowl we had.

Loaning the name of a famous person to restaurant has never been a good idea. Case in point: "Kenny Roger's Roasters" and "Dick Clark's American Bandstand Grill" (try saying that 3 times fast).

Now, when I think Genghis Khan, I think two things: 1) A bad, bad man who raped and pillaged his way through Eurasia nearly a millenia ago. 2) A guy who liked to eat--a lot.

So if you're going to brand your restaurant as the kind of place that you might find Ghengis lending his name to, you better have a lot of food to serve (not some tiny metal bowls most bars serve peanuts or pretzels in) and a lot of violence and/or scantily clad women.

Sadly, Genghis Grill lives up to neither. What you get instead is an annoying highschool kid waiter, small portions of tasteless food, and a bill that hovers around the $15 territory for lunch. Trust me, Genghis wouldn't eat here (because he'd be on ninths or tenths at Golden Coral) and neither should you.

2-stars because the concept of a la carte Mongolian grill is gone.

The whole concept was confusing for me, and I was even there with people and a waiter to explain to me how exactly it worked, and on top of that, they somehow messed up my food and gave it to someone else! To make it worse, the server came to take my bowl [our neighbor's food], assuming I hadnt eaten from it [I didnt thankfully] and just gave it back to its rightful owner without offering to make a new one?! My god, that's just awkward!

Came in for dinner and noticed the place had been upgraded but its not a good thing since the new design is poorly executed.

Not really a place that I would re-visit. Maybe my expectations were too high

The service was lackluster. The host did more for us than our server. One of my friend's glasses was slathered in lipstick.

Bored. Have had better. I get it ... but nahhhh
