Kindle Fire HD? You can get decent money for some of those parts. The screen alone could be fun for a Raspberry Pi project. Even an original KF has some value (I need a motherboard for one).

There is a valid reason for this, but it would ruin the joke.
The reason:The screen had cracked when I accidentally knocked it off a table last week, ruining the device. So I decided to crack it open to see what's inside, and then give it the proper Minichan funeral.

I had them replace a kindle out of warrantee and it's not unheard of for them to just replace them no questions asked.

And yes the feel texture and gloss of a page of a novel - I have more then one of each electronic gizmo to read but I still favor a Good real book.
Classics in Leather bindings da best. I have lots n lots of these - admit many never read but hey one day. Gold edges - Classy.
