I vote for Salad bowl politics to decide the future of the area.

I lived in Israel - Worked at Qualcomm there in Haifa. Taught a course at a local University. On weekends it seemed as if it was someones mission to take me all over the country to explore the local.

Also spent a lot of tyme with the Druze who live there. Discussed the political situation and observed rockets from Palestine on a few occasions.

Prior to that tyme many years b4 I visited the dead sea portion of the west bank (really should not have called it Ocean views) However b4 the very bad troubles was popular as a vacation resort which is now a slum.

Now Israel is desert land which is much reclaimed and produces income - Gaza is desert land which is not currently valued as income property.

People of Gaza used to sell produce to Israel but people of Gaza decided to fire rockets in2 Israel, which does not make for good neighbors and currently Gaza people are classified as Terrorists.

Gaza People have become in essence Nazi's.

So on one side of a wall you have very poor Palestinians buying more rockets to send to Israel. On the other side the Israeli's have developed anti-rocket systems they now sell to other countries which is now income producing.

So yes I call them Palestine's dumb as fuck lazy people. Years ago borders were sliced n diced by map makers - Later the 6 day war turned in Israels favor.

Now about the future of Palestine. I doubt Israel wood hold on as controlling IF AND ONLY IF Israel felt secure.

So my bottom line: Palestinian people have the right to sovereignty over the area (Eventually) But not as long as they operate as Nazi's.

They can chose to be peaceful and even become a trading partner as in the past. Or they can continue to live under Israel control and live as they currently do.

If YOU go back in history - back when Nazi's occupied Netherlands - You see where I can go with that.

By observation the Arab speaking Druz's were hard working and get along super well with Israels. There food (restaurants) are fantastic) They grow and sell produce and send kids to school.

> 'oppressed people'

Again those oppressed people decided to go with Hamas and load up on Syrian and Iran war materials. They made a clear choice.

Them Palestinians are just lucky that Israel does not blow the fuck up out of them.

So because you live close to the Hague I looked this up 4u

the Israeli Supreme Court stated in the 2004 Beit Sourik case that:

Israel holds the area in belligerent occupation (occupatio bellica)......The authority of the military commander flows from the provisions of public international law regarding belligerent occupation. These rules are established principally in the Regulations Concerning the Laws and Customs of War on Land, The Hague, 18 October 1907 [hereinafter – the Hague Regulations]. These regulations reflect customary international law. The military commander’s authority is also anchored in IV Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War 1949.

tl;dr

Dumb as fuck lazy Palestinians could just stop being belligerent or not and remain dumb as fuck by choice.

Again its a matter of who drew the maps and back during my early married years what we call the West Bank was owned/run by Jordan. Then the 6 day 1967 war and Israel map grew and the no mans land was again created by map makers.

Again long term given it will again people drawing lines on Maps - Territory? No clue - but currently on one side you have people turning desert in2 a viable working bit of land and on other side its really Horrid.

One day Palestine will end up a State of its own - Country of its own but really a Island of sorts inside Israel.

Territory won or lost long term I have no clue but it ain't going to happen as long as Palestinian people continue dumb as fuck by choice.

Or by dw's choice Occupied as dumb as fucks.

Or, Israel can put a halt to its decades-long genocide attempt. It's absolutely disgustingly hypocritical that they'd start a genocide just ten years after the Holocaust. White Israelis can just fucking treat Palestinians like human beings instead of a "demographic problem". It's simple. The rockets will stop when terrorist organisations like the IDF stop slaughtering Palestinian civilians - until then, I literally don't care that fancy little gated communities in Israel are under vague threat from the occasional ancient, hardly-working rocket. Israel is no less genocidal than Canada, the US, or the Third Reich. Let's be serious here. Israel is just another British colonial genocidal settler state, just with Hebrew-speaking European Jews instead of English-speaking Anglo Protestants.

Actually, I think the British treated their colonial subjects nicer than the Israelis do the Palestinians. The Belgians were the real shitlords in Africa.

Not excusing colonialism or anything, just saying the Brits weren't by any means the worst. What I find odd, though, is the Anglo white world happily let "white" countries like Rhodesia and old South Africa collapse, but will do anything to keep Israel alive.

One reason is strategic. Take a look at map of Arab areas. Which country is a long standing ally of USA? Simple Math.

@474,396 (decibelmilliwatts !!beW+FQoWB)

People of Gaza were free to choose Fatah or Hamas. Hamas co-founder Mahmoud Al-Zahar, proudly showed his map of the area which DID NOT INCLUDE the Country of Israel showing. His vision was elimination of Israel and said Jews, Muslims and Christians would live under the sovereignty of an Islamic state.

This is a fact that cannot be denied cause he made a major issue of Hamas's vision. So I quote

" Hamas will never recognize Israel and will continue "jihad-like movement until the liberation of Jerusalem".

And there you have it. So no way are current Palestinians going to be treated as other then dumb as fuck Cockroaches. They voted for it, they fire rockets and kill and until this stops?

Well don't count on a two state solution until Palestinians wise up. Palestinians continue to fall further in2 poverty as Israel grows in wealth.

Well yeah, it's probably fair to say that the UK, the state, wasn't quite as horrific as some other empires — but they did leave behind governments based around white supremacy and populations mostly amicable or ambivalent towards genocide.

Surprisingly, Syntax wasn't outright wrong there. Some white people are more necessary to Western hegemony than others, and having an attack dog right in the middle of the Middle East is highly convenient to the cause of Pax Americana right now.

@previous (Syntax)
I'm in favour of the one-state solution, yes. A Palestine in which everyone is treated like a person, not a 51st state of the US in which one's humanity is contingent upon one's whiteness.

The people of Palestine deserve better than a hail of white phosphorus and American bombs. They deserve their country. They deserve their humanity.

And anyone who wishes to withhold that should probably leave Palestine, for the sake of both the Palestinian people, and their own safety.

They can't call it "Palestine", though cause then it would be antisemitic. They'll have to call it "that piece of the Middle East everyone keeps fighting over". I think the Swiss should take it over: they're good at neutrality and diplomacy.

Pale-skinned European Jews seem to be treated as white by the vast majority of white people in the Anglosphere - it's a different situation in much of Europe, still, but to say that white-looking Jewish people in Anglo countries don't have white privilege is not pertinent to modern conditions. Jewishness and whiteness, for most, ceased to be incompatible in the '50s.

USA needed LAND - and American natives were not considered Humans & were rounded up, starved and moved to places no one wanted to live. That Map is just one of many. Including where I live. Local reservations are in Ungodly places in desert.

Currently Indians who choose to live on these reservations are Oppressed.

> I do think the Palestinians are acting in response to Israeli oppression (and it is real oppression, not microaggressions)

I would continue to oppress the fuck out of them until they wise up and stop trying to destroy Israel. After all Hamas is clear about wanting ALL of Israel and forcing all who live there to live under Islamic rule. Of course this gives Hamas all the Atomic Bombs Israel has in storage.

Under current conditions if Palestine as a State happens it gives the Muslims lots more places to launch rockets. As a practical matter you damn well no this ain't going to happen anytyme soon.

Nice try. Fail n why?

Cause back b4 Hamas n b4 Rockets launched the Palestinians moved freely and had jobs in Israel and grew produce n sold it to Israel citizens.

Going back even b4 Israel existed Palestine was administered by the Ottoman Empire. Then the Brits - Then Jordan - Then of course that 6 day war where Jordan out and Israel In

So sure I in total agree that Palestine people should and one day they will be in control of own destiny - and in fact they currently are. They made a clear choice in an open election to go Hamas rule.

So hell if they want to continue as Rag Head Muslims trying to turn Israel in2 total Muslim operation - As I said good luck 2them. It was far more better as Hamas when Palestinians thought Syria wood replace Egypt as their saviors. Now Syria has its own internal mess.

And I hope this is not true but I long ago learned - Some Problems have no Solutions. Of course if Palestinians decide to stop being a problem then a good solution exists. And IF after Palestine ends up its own State and they decide to go to war with Israel - I am ready to place bets on who wins.

Don't have a clue where you live butttttt as to everyone involved dead?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_reservation

"There are about 310 Indian reservations in the United States, meaning not all of the country's 550-plus recognized tribes have a reservation—some tribes have more than one reservation, some share reservations, while others have none"

"In 2012, there were over 2.5 million Native Americans with about 1 million living on reservations."

Yes I picked a sad photo to share of how bad it is - Yet just East of me in San Diego county such exists on Indian Reservations and there are several East of me. Perhaps a 30 minute drive to get to one near by. Mostly very old single wide trailers.
