After all that's been said and done, I love Kirby. More than I ever did Lexi, for some reason this feels realistic to me. Like a future with this girl is actually viable. I'm honest with her, even though sometimes that can be difficult, I genuinely care about her even if it has no bearing on my situation, I miss her tremendously when she's gone, I'm really quite happy.
She's sweet, practical, understanding, much more intelligent than I am, fun, and I don't know, she's just pretty great.

Ah, young love. Have fun, kid. Try to go easier on her hands.

Reminds me of this song.

Yeah, I do kind of feel bad for how I treated my ex, it was all in an effort to hang onto something that should have ended a long time before it did, and also explosions of pent up frustration.
Oh well, hindsight's 20/20 and all, I'm sure she's found someone better for her by now, or is at least enjoying the single life or whatever.
But yeah, I can be myself with Kirby, which is refreshing, I can actually tell her exactly what's on my mind, and she either gets it or at least tries to get it. It's neat. Oh, also she makes me think about things in ways I never would, she wins arguments all the time, and not in the "fuck off, fine, you win" way, but in the way where I actually change my mind, and feel like I became a bit wiser for listening to her.

Yep, it seems like you're on a track to the female mind.
> she wins arguments all the time
Yep, that's pretty much key.
> but in the way where I actually change my mind
Yep. Welcome to being a man.

Sad part is I do think that way a lot. This girl I've been talking to, I took her out when I first came back up to my hometown, and took her out to this fancy Italian place. She was telling me about the other two dates she's ever had how one fellow split the bill with her, and the other split the food. I said wtf, obviously, and proceeded to tell her that I'm a man. As such one, I am picking you up at this time, your place. I'm driving, I'm paying, and I'm dropping you off home after we're finished.

Chivalry is disguised mysogny a lot of the time. You pay for the meal because men work/make the money, you pick her up for the some reason.
The rule is that the person who does the inviting pays, it has nothing to do with sex. Sometimes I pay, sometimes Kirby pays, sometimes we split the tab or just pay for ourselves.

Yes, so do I. If I take a girl out, then I take her out. It's nice feeling like the Price Charming that provides her with everything. (And.. yeah. It really is. That feels nice.) So... I guess I think that way too. And girls generally are happy with the chivalry bit. So... It's a bit of an easy bit to play. The girls just trying to get a free dinner and the girls looking for something more aren't quite so much that different. I feel you, man.

I think your're right most of the time. But when you start crushing girls' hands rather than crushing on girls, then I think you have passed some sort of sociopath breakpoint. Chivalry does not include actually crushing girls' parts.

The funniest part is that the lesbian girl that I turned straight told me "Some people enjoy being a peasant." That was in reference to herself, and I replied "Then why are you messing with the king?" No response was given to that. I always thought that girls wanted to be queens... Well, all of them, not just most. Some people enjoy their miserable life I guess?

I wish I had ever done this. I just turned a bi into 80% rather than 60%
*sigh*
And the weird thing is, I'm just fucking fine with the whole idea. (Going back to the whole chivalry idea) No, I don't need to pull a seat out for you. No I don't need to do that for you. But I do. Why? Holy shit do you not see it? Because I can. I don't do that shit for my dearest friends. It's a fucking mark of respect. I won't do it if you tell me not to. (In fact I'll respect you more as a person for telling me not too because it looks like I'm taking advantage of stupid social norms.) Whee! And...(wait for it) This is why I fall in love with lesbian chicks.

I straight up told this girl too that I'm not one to go taking anyone out on a date or pay for your meal and all that fancy shit, but I'm doing it. If I'm going to take a girl out, I'm at least going to do it the "proper" way.

It's a mark of respect, but less so when you tell them it's not. And then you tell them it's not. Well... that's... I don't even know what to make of that. What the actual fuck?
You are one of the most interesting people on Minichan I have ever met, and I am so glad I will never want to date you.
