as lead council for a very large oil and gas company in Houston. She graduated from UT law, with honors and the works. Quite possibly one of the smartest people i've ever met, this chick is now quite possibly one of the most powerful people I've known. Her pay, according to her husband, is embarrassingly high. He doesn't work, he stays at home with the kids and takes care of the house.

addendum: on an even playing field there are still losers. And on an even playing field the winners do still have an advantage: they are better than the losers. When losers then complain it's not fair they were beaten by better players, it ceases to be about fairness and starts to be about making exceptions.

you're welcome. And this is exactly why i chose to not go to law school, too many women. it's super competitive. That's why i chose to go into my field, there's a startling lack of competition and the only people i have to compete with are other men which means i have half as much competition as just about any lawyer or accountant or doctor.

If you don't want to have to compete against women, become a machinist. and women, if you're thinking of becoming a machinist, know that long hair can get you killed by a lathe and your fingernails will need to be cropped to the quick. you'll also get cut quite a lot, have to wear steel toed boots to work, and do some fairly heavy lifting (50lbs over head type thing).

yup. Good movie, i've worked with some of the equipment he uses in the film, but that's some old ass shit right there.
cnc shops are a lot cleaner.

but you'll always have lathes and band saws, mills, surfacing grinders and welding equipment laying around
