I have searched the Google Play store, but there doesn't seem to be any decent eBook readers for my tablet that can read .PDF .epub or any other popular format. Do you happen to have any suggestions?

I use Adobe Reader for PDF. Since I have a Nook™ tablet it comes with the Barnes and Noble epub reader out of the box but I've heard that the Aldiko eBook reader is very nice. It supports epub and PDF.

They apparently have Calibre Sync, but I hate how it appears to only be for syncing with your PC.
It's just like the VLC player app.

I use my tablet for books, but I download most of them via PC as pdfs and just transfer them. A quick search for formats supported points to iReader, but fuck knows how legit that is.

Solid state storage does not need to be defragmented. As for why MAtthew started the Kindle overclocking/defragmenting shtick well that, I believe, is the question of the century.

solid state drives, such as those used in the Kindle have a high enough scan speed that defragmenting would, in fact, be pointless and only serve to "use up" read/write cycles on the drive, giving it a shorter usable lifespan.
