If they weren't trying to ghettoise the area, it wouldn't be a fucking problem, as the locals could easily move outwards — but no! That doesn't work, because of the fucking Israeli government essentially not letting any Palestinians out of Gaza! It should be no mystery as to why Hamas is launching Katyushas into Israel. When you shove your indigenous people into a tiny area, periodically rain white phosphorous bombs down upon their schools, deliberately wipe out their infrastructure, and literally murder anyone who tries to bring food and medical supplies in for them, you quite frankly deserve to have a missile problem.

Thing is I worked there - Lived there - Qualcomm Israel R&D in Haifa which is also seaside Mediterranean property. Many years ago I spent vacation tyme on the Gaza strip for just a few days.
There was a tyme when people from Gaza were welcomed to work in Israel. Produce and other items sold. But then under Hamas them Sunni's became terrorists and became a serious danger to Israel.
Now Israel has to IMPORT workers from far away places to do the work the Sunni's used to do. Again one only need compare Land A to Land B and see how people take care of it. Make the best of it and grow or NOT.
Sure Gaza is a Ghetto but a Ghetto of its own making.
