These people should not be cat owners. If your cat barricades you in your room... You are too stupid to be a cat owner. My cat actually does something similar by standing in the hall. Except I come out and give him a pat on the belly and some ear-scritchies! If that fails, I open a can of tunafish. Seriously, how do you not out-think your household pets?? I could maybe understand if your family pitbull (because you're a fucktard for having a family pitbull, becuase, YAY!, dogs that can maul my children are funny!) had gone nuts killed our kids and started attacking the neighbors) caused some problems, but that's a large dog. This is a fucking cat. Do own a laser pointer? Do you have a piece of string handy?? Maybe a shoelace? They love those! Seriously, cats aren't hard to distract. WT ACTUAL F!?!?!?!

There's a neighborhood cat with a hitler mustache running around here and it always fights with my cat. One night last week i heard caterwauling and went to let her in, and the hitler cat chased her up the yard. So i got lonestar and we went hunting. the hitler cat would run between cars to hide, but as soon as lonestar and i walked away it would come running out, seemingly to chase us and, i guess, pretend to be scaring us of.
it was only slightly disconcerting to have a house cat stalk you and put on a territorial display. it would run out with it's back all arched and make a nasty noise and was swiping with it's feet as it was running like it was killing a mouse or something. it was not alarming. Totally just an aggressive territorial display. So, we'd turn around and it would run off again -just to do it again when we turned our backs to it.
Well, i'm not going to be threatened in my own yard by a fucking pussy cat, so i put on my own aggressive territorial display: i pissed everywhere, and kind of chased the cat and tried to piss on it. the look of confusion, terror, and absolute understanding on that cat's face about what was happening said: you win, human.
tl:dr: i'd have pissed on that portland cat, and it would've known who's boss
