Topic: Anybody else hate tea and/or coffee?

gender started this discussion 12 years ago #33,910

I can't understand the hubbub about it. It's watery pee. It hurts when it's too hot. 'Sip, sip, look I'm sophisticated'. Urgh almost every adult I see has a seizure over tea and coffee. Energy drinks are better you hipsters and sheeple. They also have B vitamins and taurine so they're healthier. Rant over.

@OP
You haven't tried good tea or coffee yet, obviously.

Also energy drinks are full of sugar and taste nasty.

> Energy drinks are better
Shit like monster is literary cancer in a can. Also, coffee is meh, don't hate it but don't like it either (hate is a strong word, reserved for stuff like liquorice or bloody marys).

As far as tea goes, there are some good ones, like black tea with wilberry flavor or black tea with sour cherry etc. but shit like bland boring camomile tea, ewwwwww...

God sugar free is even worse tasting :(

And what coffees have you tried?

gender (OP) replied with this 12 years ago, 2 minutes later, 13 minutes after the original post[^] [v] #468,510

@previous (Metæ)
Nescafe. Ones from coffee shops like lattes, cappucino. The only thing I can tolerate are espressos. Instant energy shot.

Metæ replied with this 12 years ago, 1 minute later, 14 minutes after the original post[^] [v] #468,511

@previous (gender)
Yeah instant coffees are crap. Latte and cappuccino is just burying the coffee under a ton of sugar and milk. Espresso is nice, though.

I have a huge collection of Espresso machines. I also enjoy tea ...the English varieties like Earl Grey... Yet too much caffeine is not so much good 4you so I find it a rare occasion to have a proper cup of Tea.

Green tea is kinda relaxing if you drink enough of it, energy drinks are nice too, the taurine counters the jitters, I mean shit I love coffee but can't drink it like I used to

yorkshire gold is the best tea you can get in the uk although there can be too many tannins if you leave it in too long which might disable you if you are a pussy, stop drinking instant coffee

It is a common commercial brand and quite acceptable to all but tea snobs. I am not sure if it can still be bought loose.
