Air pollution in Kunming has been very bad but for Matts B-Day its somewhat improved to now Moderate Unhealthy.

Its been a couple of months since I looked at Gokunming to see how the ExPats are doing there. Amazing place where Chinese go to sewage pipes, outside restaurants to take buckets of it and then recover cooking oil for resale. Dirty air - Fish loaded with pollution and then cooked in sewage oil - Ideal city for Miller.

I just caught up on the several months of posts I missed.
I R registered at gokumning and have only posted once. I really really want to ask why people live there when they have much higher rated cities to chose from. Expats on that site say its one of the worst cities to live in EXCEPT for travel elsewhere in Asia, its a good location.
He went to China cause anyone who speaks English and passes the simple TEFOL cert can get a job EXCEPT not very many hours and pay is poor per hour. A bit better then working fast food in USA and rents are cheeeep. He can get his PhD at one of many poorly rated Uni's on the cheep as well.
