when you go to see a movie in the best way (2d) and something flies at the screen and you know the only reason it happened is so the fucking retards who paid twice as much for 3d have their little gimmick to giggle at
I'm looking your way Desolation of Smaug you fucking 0/10 disappointment of a movie that movie made me lose faith in the possibility of goodness in the world
fucking fuck fuck fuck fuck fucking head fucking arrow hitting another arrow jesus christ why didn't they just get people with hoses to spray water all over people during that giant clusterfuck of a barrel chase

Go fuck yourself you troglodyte. 3D is a fantastic experience and nutters like you should stop trying to bring it down.

Also I realise that my earlier comment did sound quite scathing. I was, in fact, joking.

I agree @OP when I try to watch 3d movies it just looks horribly fake.

3D tvs sell like shit. I've heard that tv makers are planning on abandoning 3d as a gimmick if they haven't already.
hollywood has been trying to shove 3d down people's throats for the better part of 50 years. It's never stuck, and it never will.
but round about every 20 or so years they try it again. This time they really doubled-down on it, and it kinda just remains a gimmick.
I think maybe something like imaging a 3d environment with lasers instead of filming would let people with occulus rift goggles watch a movie like they are standing in a room looking around instead of viewing the world through a "3d pane of glass." but even that sounds gimmicky as fuck. but it'll happen. they'll start "filming" scenes with Kinnect type 3d environment imaging devices and everyone will lose their shit over it.
at first.

Its hilarious because there's no 3D content on TV. Very few 3D blu-rays. Its a pissing contest feature so the manufacturers and retailers can get you to spend more to keep up with the Joneses.
It was a gimmick in the 50s and its a gimmick now.
Now with 4k as the hot new "gotta have it" feature, expect 3d to be quietly retired.

The only time you should use 3D is with a 3DS.

where in the canon does that film fit in? was it before or after The Wild Wild West?
