Topic: Tired of gay agenda.

I'm so tired of this homosexuality movement and marriage equality thing. Same sex marriage is NOT equivalent to traditional marriage. I don't understand why saying that all of a sudden make you a homophobe, hater, and bigot!

Destroy marriage.

Marriage shouldn't be defined by the state. Marriage shouldn't be a tax deduction.

The reason married couples got certain benefits like tax breaks is becaus married couples were more likely to reproduce. I'm all for civil partnerships but not gay marrage where they receve the same benefits as a traditional marrage.

Guys, Homosexuals already have the same rights I have. I seriously cannot think of a right that I as a hetero have that a gay person does not. Can you?

We both have the right to go to college, shop anywhere, buy a house, even get married(to a suitable person of opposite sex).

Point is, we all have equality. Gays actually want a right that not even I have!

who gives a shit about "traditional marriage" in the first place you fucking idiot

"traditional marriage" only means the government recognizes it, big fucking deal, marriage isn't a government institution in the first place and any argument against gay marriage is lame and dumb as fuck because it either -talks- about it being a government institution or just delves into shitty bible quotes.

> >Guys, Homosexuals already have the same rights I have

no they dont

> >can you?

sure, if my partner was in the hospital dying, I would not be able to visit them on their deathbed because if we were married it would not be recognized by the state, theres also a bunch of tax shit that aren't available to homosexual couples that are available to hetereosexual couples, why dont you just fucking google it?

isnt even the real DW anyways why am i even bothering

@previous (E)
The soul purpose of tax breaks for married couples is to encourage people to get married because married people were more likely to reproduce. What are the benefits in gay people getting married?

Don't get me wrong, I'm pro gay marriage in the form of civil partnership but please use some logic

it's not logical to assume that marriage's only purpose is procreation or that this is why people get married or that gays are incapable of child-rearing/bearing

like in my opinion marriage is a dated and fucked up institution but where you are coming from doesn't make total sense or much sense
nobody is saying 'gays can't marry because they don't have kids' because that's not reasonable
people can't marry because people (like you!) don't want them to for whatever reason

who cares, marriage is a dead institution. The average age of newlyweds is up by 6 years, it's close to 30 now.
Also divorce is at like 70%.
Also people don't need marriage to promote child bearing. If that was "the real main goal of marriage" then the state would have a vested interest in keeping everyone under the poverty level, because poor people have the most kids.
If you're trying to promote procreation there are better ways to do it than with marriage. (like abstenence only programs in high school.)

Marriage is a tax deduction, and entitles a partner to estates and gives them the right to make life decisions should you become dead or incapacitated. If people are under the impression the "the holy union" will break down, look no further than divorce for heterosexual contributions to that decline. It's an invalid argument that serves no purpose other than to discriminate against people. At one time Blacks marrying whites was going to destroy america... honestly, they should have been more concerned about crooked banks and their unreasonably risky portfolios.

Nothing is funnier than a thrice-married (with as many mistresses) "conservative" getting all pious about the sacred institution of marriage. Till death do us part my ass.

The state has no rightful place in marriage, though. It should be a private matter between individuals and the church, if any.

State marriage must be destroyed for the preservation of male reproductive liberty alone. Any system which favors one gender over the other with respect to genetic offspring is socially manipulative and discriminatory. We know our family courts collectively enforce a strong bias against men, and it appears nothing will ever be done to fix it.

Men are gonna strike against marriage. You wait. I think it's the real reason people want to crush MHRAs, to postpone that day or reckoning just a while longer.
