Conditions aren't bad enough yet -- we still have our bread and circuses. Federal unemployment stats are a joke but you can tell its a lot less bad because there arent violent riots over it. Also we're not stuck in the EU. It will be a miracle if that holds together another 5 years.
It's interesting, though, that Roosevelt, Hitler, and Mussolini were really only different by degree. Poor economic conditions breed fascism.
