Killer Lettuce?

It is just the perfect form of food. The finest miners in the world ate it to keep them going. Of all foods, this is what they ate. It even has an edible handle, and is very customisable. Other food simply cannot compare.

I only like pasties from cornwall. How do you feel about Tesco value cornish pasties?

@previous (Celadon)
They are only allowed to be called "Cornish pasties" if they are manufactured in Cornwall, and contain only certain ingredients.

Tesco don't manufacture in Cornwall, thus they are not "Cornish pasties", just pasties. They are also crimped on top, I believe, which is a big no no. The Cornish pasty is a protected food under EU law.

Source: used to work for ginsters.

There's Cornish pasties at my local Tesco. I'm near(-ish) Cornwall so maybe not every Tesco in the UK has them, but here they do. They even have the little EU "protected designation of origin" logo on, which I never even realised until I read your post.

Do Cornish pasties even have any Corn in them?

TTEH !JXsxEkDBLs replied with this 12 years ago, 11 minutes later, 1 day after the original post[^] [v] #464,452

@previous (Syntax)
No, they're 80% the ground up bones of Cornish people who tried to escape across the Tamar to the safety of Devon.

Who wants to ship some Cornish pasties to me?

Anonymous D replied with this 12 years ago, 3 minutes later, 1 day after the original post[^] [v] #464,458

@464,447 (TTEH !JXsxEkDBLs)
They must be made in Cornwall then, probably by Tamar foods (ginsters). I know they make stuff for other supermarkets.

BTW, don't ever buy ginsters food.

lol. Oh Meta. Your USAmerican viewpoints never cease to amuse me.

@464,449 (Syntax)
They can if you want! The Pasty is highly customisable.

@464,298 (Celadon)
Never tried one, and I don't need to. I'm in Cornwall. Pasty shops are everywhere, there is one within a stone's throw of my house.

Its a pastry taco with beef, swede, onion, and potato seasoned with salt and pepper. Where's the gravy, the ranch dressing, the tabasco, the jalapenos?????

Then it's not, by EU law, a Cornish Pasty. Thanks.

They are if you make it in Cornwall. You could still make it, it would just be an inferior non-Cornish pasty.
