All the one's I've met IRL were sickly. Maybe I'm not meeting the good ones?
As for diet, a vegetarian isn't inherently healthy: chips and coke and pop tarts and candy are all vegetarian.

I've been exclusively vegan for two years.
Legumes, nuts, and grains are all good protein sources. Broccoli also has a moderate amount of protein.
Nutritional yeast provides essential B vitamins. I take additional Vitamin B supplements once daily with food.
Being a healthy vegan is not hard.

I'm a vegan, way stricter than vegetarians and I couldn't care less about my health. I smoke cigarettes, too. I feel like I'm in good shape because I whooped a lot of meat eaters ass when I was in school. They used to throw meat at me.

Yeah, but you certainly have to pay more attention. I've wondered a bit about how "natural" veganism is based on the absence of some B-vitamins. I'm not vegan anymore, but I was for quite awhile (7 years).

Do you have to eat more than the usual person just to get what little proteins are in nuts and grains that are in meat?

Getting enough protein really isn't a problem with veg diets. Just eating normal amounts of normal veg foods is fine.
