Something tiny and basic, like phpBB but less obese, like bbPress but standalone. Nothing anonymous or something, this is for a serial project. it will have less than 10 users, so it doesn't need user levels and all that crap. Just a forum that is capable of stickies, PM, categories and that shit. OK? ok.Suggestion time go!

What about PunBB? It's quite basic but it does everything you want. All the popular software is bloated and shit.

That looks very promising indeed!
The problem with software maker is that they stop sticking to the core and fuck shit up. Winamp, Nero and Azreus(Vuze) are the best examples of why adding more and more is bad.
I want a forum that is just a forum, nothing more, nothing less. bbPress was very nice but that now requires Wordpress as base. It even had stealth bans! And lets be honest, nothing beats a stealth ban.
