its velocity was constant (-1.6 meters/sec) because there is no such thing as terminal velocity in space, everything continues to move at a constant speed unless its forcibly stopped by something, please take the thread seriously, I have not even been to space (neither have most of my species) and it is silly and racist for you to insinuate that we came from space.

Both you and the rock are on the moon for purposes of this problem, not in empty space. The rock is subject to the moon's gravitational pull and will accelerate toward the moon during its fall in accordance with laws of gravitational attraction. Please try to take this question more seriously.
