No way. I just need something to drink that won't make me hungry. Water isn't working.

A couple of shots of Drano and you'll forget all about those hunger pangs.

I only drink Jack Daniel's but not when I'm fasting. Plus, the reason I'm fasting is so I don't want to smoke after eating/drinking. There are other reasons but that's the only reason worth mentioning.

Are you kidding me. You don't want to smoke, so you're just going to stop fucking eating? Does this make sense to you at all? Fucking idiot.

Listen here, dumb ass. I happen to feel the need to smoke after eating at times. Fasting, NOT STARVING myself will make me not want cigarettes. Fasting is a lot healthier than smoking.

I fast for 1 day to 2.5 days. Starving yourself takes much longer. Go learn a thing or two before you call someone an idiot, you complete dumb ass. Learn your definitions.

If I can figure this out...
You wish to quit smoking cigarettes. You've developed a habit of smoking one after each meal. So therefore you wish to quit smoking by not eating, avoiding the trigger.

It seems like a bad idea to me but I'm not your mom so I can't tell you what to do. If you're set on doing it this way, try drinking milk, juice, and broth, which should fill you up a tiny bit and ward off malnutrition.

Anonymous J joined in and replied with this 12 years ago, 10 minutes later, 8 hours after the original post[^] [v] #459,710

I tend to smoke only when I'm hungry as it gives a stronger buzz.

In that case, go on a month-long bender without eating anything and then sleep it off. By the time you're not too shaky to light a cigarette again, you'll totally have forgotten the urge.

Hey, OP. Have you tried not smoking? That's probably the best way to quit smoking is to stop smoking, not stop eating. You do know that smoking comes from smoking, not from eating right? you can eat and not smoke if you just don't smoke. And if you think you're body is addicted to nicotine, just wait until you get food withdraws. you're body is really addicted to food, so much so that food withdraws can kill you. So be careful, OP.

Meta replied with this 12 years ago, 1 hour later, 18 hours after the original post[^] [v] #459,731

Or maybe flip it around and eat cigarettes and smoke food.

@OP
I tried so many times to quit smoking and I always failed. One day I read a summary of "Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking", some dude summarized the book by saying something to the effect of "it's you VS the craving/cigarettes". Like who is stronger, you or the cigarettes?

I'd never thought about it like that and it changed everything. No fucking way I was gonna let a cigarette win. I haven't smoked since. Cigarettes still smell good, I still want them, but I don't need them. I won. You're gonna have to face your cravings head on eventually. It'll be rough, but it will get easier.

I guess the cigarettes win against me. When you like the way they make you feel enough, it's pretty much impossible. Good for you and quitting, though. The only reason I want to quit is because they're not cheap.

I saved around 50% by rolling my own cigarettes. Some cigarette shops sell cigarette tobacco packaged and labeled as pipe tobacco, because for whatever reason pipe tobacco is cheaper (taxes I think). I could roll a pack in less than five minutes with a roller. Totally worth it.

I've thought about that, but I don't want to be fooled into getting something that I won't like.

Roll my own cigarettes is good.

Ks !KansasxqvM replied with this 12 years ago, 5 minutes later, 1 day after the original post[^] [v] #459,816

@459,811 (A)
Buy a small amount for testing. The pipe tobacco I bought was better, or at least as good as the cheaper cigarettes. I smoked more for the nicotine than flavor anyway. Once you learn how to roll the cigarette right (not too tight, not too loose), you probably wouldn't notice that big of a difference.

Anonymous A (OP) replied with this 12 years ago, 51 minutes later, 1 day after the original post[^] [v] #459,821

@previous (Ks !KansasxqvM)
I'm sure I can roll them right, I just need to find the tobacco that is isn't shit.
