So, she is now unsure whether or not she wants to go for this guy, or me. Apparently her entire family thinks she's an idiot for even considering leaving me for this other guy because I'm the best thing that ever happened to her, and this other guy is a douche who's been in their lives, unfortunately, for years.
If she decides to choose me then I am not sure how to respond. I certainly want to be with her, but this situation has presented a significant issue. Do I trust that this is her final decision and things will work out or is the risk that will she continue to fluctuate back and forth too high?
And then if she doesn't choose me then do I take her back when this guy inevitably breaks her heart? (He has a long history of being a flake, and also they just have no future together in a pragmatic sense, unless he can long distance for 4 years at least, which I highly doubt.

This guy has been an unrequited love situation for years, a guy that apparently she thought she could never have, but now he's decided he wants to be with her. However, as it turns out, she's very in love with me, and so doesn't know whether to go after what she's been wanting for years, or go for me.
