I e-mailed Greenheart Games since they mailed out Steam keys to early adopters of their game Game Dev Tycoon, but since I ordered it with someone else's PayPal account it went to their e-mail address instead and they stupidly deleted it without thinking. Anyway, I contacted them, they got this resolved today after I sent them the links sent to me (which were also forwarded to me) and they resent their Steam e-mail, I got my free code, and now own the game on Steam too.

I'm not sure this game can be described as autistic. It isn't Minecraft. It is very meta though, I think.

No, their anti-piracy measures were meant to be fucking hilarious. Which they were. I can admit to having cracked and pirated a few games in my time, and... yeah. That shit is fucking funny.

That was the joke, yeah?? They fucked it up with conditions you couldn't win against if it failed some test. Similarly, Team 9 released Worms 2: Armageddon to Android with an anti-piracy measure where if the function call to CheckAndroidBillingIfPurchase() (or whatever it was called) returned a boolean false it set you up in the game with players that were poisoned in pirate hats. Cute. That kind of touch shows they really care and have a sense of humor.

It sucks you cannot do this in Game Dev Tycoon. They apparently have an expansion pack planned called "Shareholders Edition", but it seems to be a joke. Ashamed too as there is some nice features like DRM.
