The minichan starbound server is officially up. The game costs $15 and can be found http://playstarbound.com/ (You can buy from the "Pre-Order!" menu). If you're too cheap to buy the game, it seems that torrents also work for multiplayer which can be found http://pirateproxy.net/torrent/9333664/Starbound_Update_5_(Indignant_Koala)__Cracked_, and http://pirateproxy.net/torrent/9328237/Starbound_(Linux).The game itself is like terraria, but then with multiple planets and a space ship. You can travel between these planets, mine ores, build shit, and progress. If you want to join the minichan server connect to our IRC (irc.freenode.net ##minichan, http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=##minichan) and ask for the IP address.

1) Install the previous torrent

Good luck finding a base, bud, the galaxy is massive plus there are more than one sector. Everyone, at least r04r and myself, use our ships as our base instead of making one on a planet. There is plenty of pre-made buildings to discover on planets though, but probably wouldn't satisfy your grief-thirst.

I’d just like to interject for a moment. What you’re refering to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/LInux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called “Linux” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.
