I've seen a lot of rebellious atheists here. Well, I have a proposition to you, go to Church today. Just today. You will enjoy it and I think the Holy Ghost will move you to change your ways. If you still hate God after going to Church then you can go back to your decadent religion. But, you must provide evidence that God doesn't exist.

Numerous friends and girlfriends have roped me into this schtick over the years. Never once has it been anything remotely approaching enjoyable. It has never been anything other than awkward, annoying, and overbearing attempts to shake my hand while telling me how silly I am for not seeing the "truth" evident to "everyone else" who agreed with $InsertReligiousDenominationHere. If anything, it has cemented my utter disdain for organized religion in general.
Seriously, if it weren't for this "just try it once" cult/meth-addict style proselytizing, I would probably have a much higher opinion of religion than I do today.

Baptist, Catholic, Lutheran, Eastern Orthodox, and some crazy evangelical megachurches that just seem to preach their own thing... It's just made me never want to go again. Some of them were more easy-going than others, but I just decided at some point that I don't want to go pretend to take part a religious ceremony that I'm expected to take seriously.

AFAIK, he just got support from his family and now lives with a friend who bans him from drinking. Don't think that religion was involved, especially considerig his rather random relationship with it previously.

Greek Churches do the wine and bread thing more better.

Also, that atheist church thing doesn't make it a relgion. Atheists are under no obligation to attend something like that, and they are still secular in nature. That article you linked to even describes them as not including religion or ritual. Your own source disagrees with you, noob!

A week ago there was a poll (referendum or what it's called) if this should be added to the constitution:
-marriage is a partnership between a man and a woman
There is a law defining it, that prevents gay people from getting any rights, but since laws are easily changed compared to the constitution, the church wanted it into the constitution and eventually collected 700k signatures to start the poll.
So the day Croatians went to vote, I went to church, just to see the level of brainwasherry. Ho leeee sheeet is all I can tell. The arguments and the "we only quote parts of the bible that suits our current needs" approach is hilarious.
Sad thing was, 500+ people went from church streight to the voting place and all voted for the poll. Fast forward to the end of the day, almost 70% of the poeple made the constitution of Croatia homofobic and minority discriminating. And it's all thanks to church and your "feel the holy spirit". I felt like an idiot on the mass, tried talking to some people after mass, asking if they'll stone their daughters if they won't be virgins till the day they are married and stuff like that. Almost got beaten up by an angry crowd that didn't like the truth.
Fuck you and your church @OP, there should be a separation of the Church and planet. You've done enough harm. Thanks.
