Fact: Godzilla's exact species is unknown. His Japanese name, Gojira, is a play on combining the Japanese words for "gorilla" and "whale". Is he a gorilla-whale? I don't think so. A dragon? A dinosaur? No one knows. It's never been clarified. /thread
