As you can see from his GoKunming posts and his Fooder glove blog, Matt can stop posting shtick when he wants to. It depends on whether or not Matt thinks he can get anything from it. Matt's trying to "network" and get a job on GoKunming, and he hopes to get a career as a food journalist from his blog, thus he keeps both clean and shtick-free.
As for TC/MC/SC/DMBBS/LAGHOUL/etc, there's nothing in it for Matt so he shits all over it with his tired, decade-old shtick.
