No. I remember old rumours floating around about Eddie Murphy being cast for the Riddler (lol). Personally, I think they need to be very careful about what role they give to him. The problem with the Schumacher films was that it became a horrible mess since they stuck too many villains into the film at once, and trying to give each one their respective screentime was fairly disastrous. Personally, I think he'd make for a better Robin played properly (or maybe Jason Todd/Red Hood).
Also, the title needs to be changed. "The Dark Knight Rises" sounds bad.

I do agree with what you said about having too many villains though. Even in Batman Begins, I felt that Scarecrow was too overshadowed by Ghul. I've seen the old movies, and they were just clusterfucks of villains.

That was a huge problem in the third spider-man, also. The problem is they don't like doing more than three movies for fear of not getting cast members to keep signing on and the fear of each sequel going downhill, so they try to squeeze as many villains into each movie as possible to appease the fans and it turns to complete shit. Yet a movie series like SAW can get up to movie 9 or whatever and still make money.
They ought to make a super hero movie like they make saw movies, where they come out with a new one every summer and each summer it's the same hero with a new villain, instead of waiting for a good super hero movie to come out once every 3-4 years and it turning into complete shit because they try to squeeze the equivalent of 100 comic books into one movie.
