Like when you think to yourself that a fair world should exist, why not just go all the way and think whatever you want, like that unicorns should exist.

actually, no. i believe that everyone else can die, but not me. instead of dying what happens is the inexplicably improbable: the universe blinks out of existence taking me and everyone else with it. it's just like how i believe nothing actually existed before me and that my coming into being required the universe to have a past which would bring about the present, so it does.
i call it squeegeecentrism.
