even if they only last 3 months, its still good value.

Probably made in a sweatshop by malnourished, abused kids, but good value.

what if they arrive fully non-functional?

I think the daft seller has priced them wrong, I see other sellers are selling the same tablets for a lot lot more.

That really wasn't the point of my post.

Open an ebay dispute and get your money back, most ching wong sellers dont ask you to return faulty items, they just refund.

You could root it and put on a custom ROM, though.

Durability is hardly the only important aspect of quality. Tablets like these usually have plastic screens which you have to exert quite an amount of force upon before they will register a touch event.

Yeah, the point I was making was that if they're that cheap, someone's being exploited.

For something this obscure, you'd have to port CM yourself.

SGS2 is getting 4.2. Thing launched on 2.3.

utter bollocks.... They're capacitive screens... Going back a few years the ching wongs were still putting crap resistive screens on many devices, these were the type of screens you had to hit with a hammer to register a tap, thats why they were so cheap, but now even the cheap no-name stuff coming out of china are capacitive screens, just the same as on any other device costing loads more..

They're that cheap because the stupid chinese seller has listed them with an incorrect price... Like I said earlier, all the other china sellers are selling them at a much higher price..

I did bid for one of them but I very much doubt I'll see it, probably just get refunded in a month or so, but you have to speculate.
