i didn't rave about anything, to be honest i didn't even know it was being seeded for free as DMG, only via App Store (upgrade)

also this, upgrading from 10.6 -> 10.7 -> 10.8 didn't cost nearly as much as buying the windows edition
OSX also does not include any copyright protection, so even if you pirate whatever version you will have no problems (maybe only with the special internet recovery as it requires a valid purchase of ML to be able to install Mavericks from it)

I actually follow the brand and have an iPod touch back in slovenia, was a handy web browser/music player till it got replaced.
Also, I first asked "did you rave..?" then I wrote "I don't get the rave" ... at no point did I explicitly say you raved, but the people at the apple mass... khm, presentation, sure did.
All in all, I'm asking why the rave since you can't buy a Mac without an OS, nor can you buy the OS as a separate product. So saying the OS (update) is free, and get such ovations was laughable.
Now continue with whatever you were doing, and l2read sometimes inbetween that and posting insulting replies to my posts. Tack.

1; download installer from the store
2; open up a terminal and run;
any 8gb sdcard/usb disk will do, or whatever faggots
burning to dvd i don't recommend, cd/dvd are for morons

because it is digital only, hence the price, at my local apple store they will copy the install app to a stick for you
or do you expect them to press DVDs or create usb sticks in shiny plastic wrapped boxes and give those out?
you have to download it for free and create your own installer (see my post)
