That was my reaction too. In early 2014 we'll get like the third or fourth iteration of this drama as the imaginary debt "ceiling" is reached again and Team Red will make passionate speeches and take a real principled stand against Team Blue's spendthrift ways. Team Blue will accuse Team Red of being anarchists and obstructionists and holding the country hostage. And then they'll come to an agreement to cut future spending by .01% twenty years from now in exchange for raising the debt limit by 10 trillion dollars. Repeat ad infinitum.
