seriously what the fuck> I tried all the fixes and resets apple suggested, tried draining the battery, tried turning it off for a whole night, finally decided I would have to bring it into the store and pay for a new one. I figured a trip to the freezer was worth a try first, even though I didn't think something like that had any way of working. Well it actually did, and I'm back on Wi-Fi!
i wouldn't freeze or use a hairdryer on my phone
in other news iphone 5/5c/5s users are reporting alignment issues and instances where the phone doesn't know if its up, down, left or right

That's why you put it in the oven on 350 degrees for 1 hour. Leave the door to the stove cracked to vent otherwise it can discolor the plastic a little.

putting it in the oven works on any electrical device, by the way. but you may want to call the manufacturer first and ask them what temperature setting to use and for how long, bake vs. broil and all that. If they won't tell you at tech support accuse them of trying to gouge you for servicing and ask to be put back on with the guy at the call center who knew what he was talking about.

It's quicker in my experience to roll the phone in egg, then coat it in flour and deep fry at 375° F until it's golden brown and crispy on the outside.

They don't get hot enough to melt the solder, I refuse to believe it. The chipsets throttle like fucking mad once they get warm.
