Shrimp in fresh garlic/vermouth n chardonnay, which were cooked in shells for broth then shelled. Stock had mexican brandy added and red bell pepper slices n sliced mushrooms/ a bit of dried red pepper for some spice and tarragon.

All this over Linguini pasta with Broccoli on the side of plate and two Roma tomatoes in fresh garlic and black pepper on the side of plate. Its a huge platter.

Vino is a 1999 Chardonnay which is so fyne.

What's the round thing, a mushroom or something?

Last night was stuffed green pepper soup. Tonight is grilled salmon and roasted fingerling potatoes.

Yea me as well. How can something so tasty be so bad for ya. Until you make it home made, one has no clue how much Beef fat you have to pour in 2get it just rite.

But its damn tasty and given when I was growing up puddings were always chocolate or butterscotch.

It's a Yorkshire pudding

how do you not know what they are, don't you have them over there?

Yorkshire pudding is not part of American diets. We see it in the movies. First tyme I had it was in a English themed restaurant. Not once at a dinner party I have attended has it been served with roast beef.

However I have given dinner parties in the past where I served it and people loved it. Considering you have to roast the beef and WAIT WAIT UNTIL you get enough fat in the pan, its logistically difficult to make.

Only a couple of minutes as I just blew the little tyme where Matt is still allowed to post and had a quick go at him - Tripy will be pleased - I need to get back to my Ocean a Blue.

Its NOT that Yorkshire pudding is non existent in USA but as I said one has to look for a English themed eat out joint to find it.

Put the question to Google and interesting result - In New York City there are 10 locations where its served - and EXACTLY the same for San Francisco.

One wood have thought that just over the border in Buffalo NY and Washington State based on Tripy reply - Yet it does not show up.

Hey its great stuff - Kinda like Plum Pudding that I wondered about after view of Christmas Carol back when I was young b4 light bulb was invented. I searched n searched for years for Plum Pudding - YEARS n Years -

Of course after going to England and looking there I finally got a taste YUCK YUCK - But later at a dinner party in Switzerland of all places I had my first taste of a decent Plum Pudding - May have been all that great Whiskey that set it a-flame. Or all the Champagne and other liquids that preceded it.

Now back out in my quest to talk a Porpoise in2 coming close nuff to nudge me off my board. They are really active this AM
