IE9 being congratulated for conforming with web standards finally, something that firefox has done for centuries and done well. Not only that but it seems that the technology is so great that windows XP cant even run it, and seeing how many corporate organisations and slowcoaches still run XP for one reason or another IE is once again forcing developers to develop for their past shitty browsers regardless or lose out on a chunk of the market.
If you think apple is bad for forcing its restrictions on people, then just have a look at internet explorers history and cry for web developers.

The fuck are you talking about? I ran IE9 in Windows XP just fine, and one thing IE9 does that FF still doesn't is multi-core/thread support. So while IE9 can run on all 4 cores, FF is still running on one. Personally, I prefer Chrome, but I still choose IE over FF. Anyone who bashes IE hasn't used it since 2003. It's a completely different browser from what it used to be. If it had more extensions it would be on par with chrome imo.

I'm talking about IE9 here, not IE7. My point is that anyone who bashes IE9 hasn't tried it, and the fact that you're still stuck on IE7 reinforces that point.
The mutli-core/thread support makes the browser more stable, especially when multiple tabs/windows are open, and especially when anything flash based is running.

Also accelerators are absolute garbage compared to firefox's addon system.

I didn't say it's been good since 2003, I meant that people typically haven't used it since 03, and it's underrated for that reason. I prefer Chrome, but IE9 is better than FF. People only use FF for the extensions, and Chrome has similar extensions. Take the browser flame wars back to 4chan.
