Sometimes I hate it that I am very pale in the sunlight. People say if one wants to have color to their skin they should start doing activities which involves staying out in the sun, but for someone who cannot walk to and from their local dollar theater without getting a sunburn turning their face red as a tomato. I do not see how such things are possible.
Could this be because of my English and French ancestry?

How do you prevent yourself from getting sunburn? What kind of lotion do you use?

Only when out hiking do I bother with sunblock. Nose burns more then anything. At this point I am tan to the max with all the Surfing and my daily 10 mile runs.
I also no this is asking for skin cancer and over the years I get skin doc to burn the beginnings off.
Pale also means you are not getting the good benefits of daily sun.
