Six months ago, my 17-year-old son told me that he was seeing a boy named Johnathan. No biggie. What troubles me: my son and his boyfriend are "furries" and open about it. The boyfriend is 18 and sweet, but he's clearly the more dominant one. I'm worried that my son may not know how to say no to him. Adding to my concerns: I found a dog collar in the kitchen with an engraved tag with my son's name on it. Dog collars seem like a heavy activity for a lad, Dan, and today I noticed a bruise on his throat that's the size of a collar buckle. How do I ensure he's exploring safely without freaking him out?
> do what you usually do to things with collars, neuter him.
Well, other than completely castrating him, what can I do? Was thinking to take him for a 'drive.' Take him to a gay fury ghetto and show him what that path of life can lead to.

Sounds like a lucky boy to me. Be happy for him.

Honestly though hah, I have a hypothesis that a lot of furries are gay for each other just because they're other furries and they can't (and wouldn't) get laid by anyone else. Take that drive and bring him to a trashy gay nudie bar and see how he truly feels about his sexuality.
Other than that, he's gonna do whatever he's gonna do and it's probably harmless, especially the furry part. It seems like many gay furry relationships have a sub and a dominator, it's really not unusual. Unless it's seriously harmful to him physically, then I wouldn't worry about it much because he probably gets off on it. After all, he's only 17. If he's still like.. living with you in his late 20's and doing this thing, you might want to re-evaluate things and kick him to the curb.

Why is it with gays that people identify on eas dominant and the other submissive? People don't do this with straight couples, you wouldn't say, "the girlfriend is sweet, but clearly she's the sub."
I think it shows OP to be an offensive bigot, despite his best attempts to sound tolerant and accepting.

if a son of mine was either gay or a furry, I would literally murder them in cold blood.
if I had one that was both, I think that I would kill myself.

not at any age when you are putting yourself in a submissive position opposite an abusive partner and justifying/glorifying it by calling them a dom

it's not gays, i think you are lumping the top/bottom dynamic in with something more dangerous
(weird sex counter culture furry bondage freaks)

I'm not, OP is. I pointed out that OP sees his sons relationship as a dom/sub thing as if all gay relationships boil down to "which one is the top."
I'm making the case that dom/sub relationships aren't mutually exclusive to being gay.

Sure, it probably wasn't the obvious thing, it must be something else.
