thread will probably contain spoilers, simply because you guys are fucking assholes.

For more than a hundred years, the last remnants of humanity have lived inside a fortified city designed to protect them from a powerful race of man-eating giants known as Titans. For a century the two races have been locked in a stalemate: the Titans are unable to breach the walls of the city, but every attempt humanity has made to make war with the Titans has ended in disaster.

That was until the day a colossal Titan appeared and smashed a hole in the perimeter wall of the village of Zhiganshina, allowing its smaller kin to wander inside and wreak havoc. Three children escape from the ensuing massacre: Eren Yeager, an aggressive adolescent boy; Mikasa Ackerman, his quiet adoptive sister; and Armin Arlert, his bookish best friend.

I have so many stupid questions about this show.
Where do they get their food/water from? Do they just grow it in the city?
Where'd the titans come from?
If they eat people but the people were safely inside the city for 100 years, how did the titans survive that long? How can even a large human population support more than one hungry titan?
Why can some of the people turn into titans?
Why are a bunch of children allowed to fight the titans? Where are the adults?
If they are trapped in the fortress, where did they get the resources to make their swords and maneuvering gear and snappy uniforms?

Just so you know, trips span 8 characters. That's it. Even if you make it #breakingthefuckingwindowsinsomedudesoldmotorhome it will just look like #breaking to the the people who are #breaking it.

How sad that you'll never know what the rest of it says. It's #breaking my heart just thinking about it.

Given the nature of chans, I just thought I should warn you, love.

I sort of assumed it was a Breaking Bad reference. Disclaimer: I may be tainted by the sheer amount of Breaking Bad content on the web these days.

Water cycle, presumably. And yeah! The walls are about the size of Europe, so it's not implausible.
> Where'd the titans come from?
Shrugs.
> If they eat people but the people were safely inside the city for 100 years, how did the titans survive that long? How can even a large human population support more than one hungry titan?
They don't need to eat.

> Why can some of the people turn into titans?
Shrugs.

> Why are a bunch of children allowed to fight the titans? Where are the adults?
Because so many die you'd need a lot.

> If they are trapped in the fortress, where did they get the resources to make their swords and maneuvering gear and snappy uniforms?
Shrugs.

I think that the show will have an environmental message, like they're super mutants created by some zealot who was concerned that people are destroying the earth

Well thank you friend, I will keep that in mind.
Unfortunately, I don't watch Breaking Bad.

One last question: how big are the titans? Are we talking ten feet tall or ten stories tall?

Holy shit, GREAT! You can't swing a LOLcat without hitting a Breaking Bad fanpost lately.

There's a variety of sizes, the one in the official art in the OP is 60 metres, but they can be as small as 3m. The 60M "Colossal Titan" is one-of-a-kind. There's also a variety of "abnormal" titans.
