Tell your readers how one overcomes the stench of fermented urine whilst dining in Kunming. Sorbet? Lemons? Anchovies? How does one keep the palate clear amidst the overpowering stench?

All day long there is a very strong and persistent smell of fermented urine that could wake the dead.

All of Kunming basically smells like fermented urine.
