What positive things are there that you have done since receiving this eviction notice that you can present to the court to give them reasons to not evict you? Its the court that decides whether to evict you or not, not your landlord. So you need to give them reasons not to evict you, not excuses (defence) as to why you have been a shitty tenant.

daily reminder that average sleeping rough time for the homeless in the uk is 24 hours which means almost everyone who does it more than once is doing it because they've been banned from every shelter in the area

Go to court in nice clothing, and humbly and kindly explain to the judge that you suffer from mental illness and alcoholism, but that you have quit drinking, are starting therapy, and getting your life together.
