CAFE killed them, sadly. Also, full-size RWD isn't hip anymore (except the vulgar, trashy "bling" Chrysler 300, which itself is some old Mercedes-Benz parts wrapped in a faux-Bentley body and a Fischer-Price interior).
For all the money Ford wasted on Volvo and Jaguar and Land Rover, we could have had an updated, S-Class beating Town Car. But noooo, we got some crappy Volvos instead.
Also the Ranger, not fancy but solid, dependable, and affordable. It will be missed.

A Panther platform car with the stock 4.6 V8 can manage just under 8 seconds 0-60. Performance would be glacial with a smaller V6.
Was the G8 popular there? I have seen like four or five here in the past few years. Nice performance, but looked way too bland. The new GTO was also a flop here, for the same reason.
