I've been debating on rather or not I want to purchase this game. I guess people may call me a Jew for having a hard time parting with money, but I often feel like I should be spending my money on more important things. I have $350 in the bank and the idea of purchasing a $60 game bothers me. I also have eyes on a couple of Avatar comics I want to get to complete my collection of the series which is most likely $19.99 an issue.
I am also unsure on rather or not to get the console version (Xbox 360) or wait until there is a PC release for the game which is kind of a gamble.
Do you suggest I purchase this title?

Nvidia leaked that there will be a PC version.
Also they always do this 'pretend there will be no PC version' stuff so the console versions sell now.

Well, PC always has the edge on consoles as you can mod games.

I said fuck it and splurged a little. I got the game.
So is it automatically required to install the game to your hard drive?

I played this game all last night. It's so real-like that it makes you forget that it's not real life. I expect crime rates to sky rocket.

If you buy the PC version that comes on 5.25 floppy disks, then you can play it entirely from your floppy drive. There is a lot of disk switching though.

I installed it as it said and I do not see it in my games. Did it install the game to the hard drive or what did it install necessary?

I imagine you'd only see the game there if you installed the 'play' disc too (which Rockstar recommend against because it is causing some issues), since content from both discs is active while playing.

I was informed that the install disc installs only mandatory "dlc" to run the game.
