Only proving my point. Hitler's government was more successful, but is less widely recognized as a success. What's the reason for this? Because his power was unenduring. It's as simple as that.
People worship power. Ideology, wealth and celebrity are all secondary to time. True power extends well beyond it's possessor's death. Walt Disney is more powerful in death than Hitler is, though in life he wielded no such authority.
I wish I was smart enough to figure out precisely what Hitler dis wrong, cause he did so many things right when you think about it.
