Because I feel that only certain types of people would enter into a sexual relationship with a much younger person. Young people do not have the maturity to be able to intellectually match such an older partner and many people exploit this. Furthermore, the position that the adopter has over a child is much too likely to cause non consensual activities, sexual or otherwise.

I wasn't sure. Perhaps they should, but how would we determine what age is appropriate? Even if it was legal for a 21 year old person to have sex with a 16 year old person, their maturity and intellect would not be equal. I would still think less of the older party.
