I heard you can damage them which worries me because to me (although i might be wrong) it means that people can reproduce, and then pass on those damaged genes, so given enough time, all those genes are damaged. Which is strange because i don't understand how we have been capable of evolving so much then. Maybe now is different, we are polluting the earth and so we are damaging genes a lot more and at a greater rate. In short it sounds like we are all going to die because even people living in tribes are getting their genes damaged, passing them on and then that offspring repeats the process, which means each generations has more and more damaged genes. That is some scary shit.

1. if DNA is damaged the cells die before they are able to divide.
2. if there is too many cells with defective DNA that managed to divide then the organism dies before its able to reproduce.
3. if the damaged organism manages to reproduce then the next generation is severely idled and possibly dies without reproducing.
4. [3] is repeated until that line of organisms are no longer able to survive long enough to reproduce.

2 not sure what you mean here. So the genes can be damaged and become defective?
4 it feels 2,3 and 4 are all the same points but it seems possible that the DNA disaster can totally bring a lot of suffering and mess everything up given that a few manage to have the genes to just

Okay, just about every cell (except developed red blood cells) in your body contains a copy of your DNA. If the DNA in some individual cell gets damaged or miscopied, it usually just dies. If not, it just flails around being ineffectual until it dies. If it manages to reproduce uncontrollably because of the damage, then hello cancer. If the DNA in one of your epidermal skin cells is damaged, it's generally not a huge loss. That cell would probably just have lived a few weeks and then died and fallen off anyway. Ignoring cancer cells, the same holds true for much of the rest of your body. In terms of passing any damage along, the only DNA that would matter is that in your sperm or eggs. That is the only DNA that is being passed on.

What if it's damaged in such a way it improves itself? And the damaged (yet improved) DNA is passed on?

I believe your reproductive cells are separate from the rest of your cells. If I chopped off your arm, your kid would still probably have both arms because the DNA in the reproductive cells are still intact.
