Gimped I'm sure, but more usable than an ipad which isn't even gimped osx. It has office and a fully featured web experience. Even flash if you care about that sort of thing.
What pad does linux make?

Linux isn't a company so they don't make anything. You can however put linux on a fair amount of android tablets and it's the real deal. Not saying that it's usable on a tablet, though...

I didn't mean to be demeaning, I was just curious! Gimped windows is probably still better than windows phone which most MS tablets are so I bet it'll be cool.

Awesome. I got hbogo and netflicks. Very crisp picture.
Swiping is pretty cool. For real thought the surface feels a lot more like my galaxy note and a lot less like an ipad.

Hard to say without selfdoxing, I am a rare specialist these days.
I am a machinist who works on antique mechanical gears and systems of a specific type that are still in use today on a limited basis all over the world.
So, like, mechanical bank vault timers would be something I would make parts for and refurbish, but that's only a very small part of what we do.
I've done work for museums, historical societies and holders of private collections. I did work for ross perot last year, actually. Got to meet him. He's super short.
