-They list Harry Potter or Hunger Games in their favorite books (I probably can't have a deep conversation about literature with them)
-They're majoring in something like engineering or chemistry (this isn't really a turn off but they probably wouldn't mess around with a loser like me so I don't bother)
-They don't like anime (not that much of a turn-off but they'll probably be disgusted by me so again, I don't bother)
-They use emoticons in their profile (this proves they aren't on the same Irony Level as I am, unless they're using the ironically which is okay)
-They mention zombies anywhere in their profile (you'd be surprised how many people do this)
-All of their photos are angle shots
-"Atheism and very serious about it" (ugh)
-They mention hanging out with friends on a typical Friday night (they'll probably think I'm some kind of freak when they find out I have no friends)
-They have children (I'm not judging them for it, I just really hate children)
-They say "vidya" instead of video games (oh my God just fuck off and never return)
That's all I can think of for now, but I'll be sure to update my OKCupid experiences with you, dear fora.

Funnily enough, I actually own a fedora (I'm pretty sure its a fedora anyway), but I never wear it. It was an impulse buy in France, see.
Not that I give a shit about the Internet attatching all of these negative stereotypes to it, just don't see any need to wear a hat.

How would you feel about someone saying that they were serious about any religion or saying that they were spiritual?

Humphrey Bogart wore a fedora and he was really cool. I wonder if he would have been a brony if MLP existed in the 1940s-'50s.

Doubtful. There's a reason why fedoras arent cool anymore. Its because immature people believe that an accessory can help mask their horrible personalities, and so more "uncool" people wear them.
