True, but not to the same extent, I'd say. Skepticism is a bit more prevalent now. Also, I think that Jesus has the advantage of being the first one to be really successful. All if those later guys are going up against a very mainstream fandom with a large, established fanbase, after all.

Keep in mind though, it took centuries for the Jesus cult to go mainstream. He was up against the state religion of the most powerful and populous empire in the world. The Greco-Roman pantheon was well established. I think Christianity's selling point was the simplicity: only one god (or three, the trinity thing is kinda confusing) compared to dozens in the pantheon.

A true skeptic would realize that atheism is a lie, and that Jesus is the true way. Remember the devil may seem very charming, rational even, but be assured, he is a wily trickster looking only to torment your immortal soul.
Atheism isn't a good bet, it just isn't, if atheism is true then it doesn't matter when you die, you die. But if Christianity is true then you're burned if you're an atheist, I mean that quite literally. So, really believing in Jesus is the rational decision. And don't give me that shit about another religion being true, they aren't true, look how poor, and filthy non-christian countries are, God is not happy with them!
